STX Pan Ocean held a naming ceremony for the STX FRONTIER, a 153,600 CBM LNG carrier on May 28th. The STX FRONTIER will participate in the LNG transportation project for Repsol YPF, a Spanish energy company, under strategic alliance with Hoegh, a world renowned shipping company based in Norway specialized in LNG transportation. The ship will transport LNG produced in Peru for 33 months from this coming July.
STX Pan Ocean is making a stable profit despite the economic depression, and expects that it will level up its position in the non - bulker market in various sectors including the international LNG transportation market.
